The superb Romanesque monastery church of Ripoll is amazingly photographic.  These shots were all taken with the Canon 24mm tilt-shift lens.

The church has an interesting architectural feature; there are double side aisles all along the nave to the transept. This shot is taken toward the nave through the interior side aisle.

  1. Really great to see images from Catalunya. The contemporary banner art lends nice perspective to your shots!

    • Such a beautiful church, Tom. In the narthex is an extraordinary frieze which was at one time part of the west face of the church. We were shooting inside when I suddenly was aware of a great number of people gathering – a funeral mass! Time to get out of there! So we never got to shoot the frieze, unfortunately.
