Via Lucis at Cherry Blossom Festival, Washington DC (Tom Hanson)

The centennial Cherry Blossom Festival in our nation’s capital opens this weekend. Dennis and PJ were in town to shoot the Washington National Cathedral again, but found time to make a pre-dawn photography run to the Jefferson Memorial’s Tidal Basin, with its dazzling ring of 100-year old Japanese cherry trees.

Armed with my Droid phone camera, I went along and snuck a few shots of the two at work, with their arsenal of wonderful gear and artistic eyes. Enjoy!

They’ve promised to post one or two of their shots after they return home.
